Lineage OS 15.0 based on Android O 8.0 Oreo is finally out for Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Recently you have seen Android Oreo for MI3, MI4 and also for Redmi Note 3. But Redmi Note 4 is the first Xiaomi Phone to receive the Android Oreo based on Lineage OS 15.

Why install Lineage OS 15.0 on Redmi Note 4?

CyanogenMod is dead and Lineage OS 15.0 will provide all the features of Android O along with some additional functionalities.

You get the stock Android experience in lineage OS 15.0 on Redmi Note 4. The official Android Oreo for Redmi Note 4 will be based on MIUI which is not a stock version of Android. And also it will take a long time for the official lineage OS. Till then you can enjoy the unofficial Lineage OS 15.0 on Redmi Note 4.

Requirements:

• Redmi Note 4 must have unlocked bootloader. Without unlocking the bootloader, you will not be able to install Android Oreo on Redmi Note 4.
• TWRP should be preinstalled on your Redmi Note 4.
  Note: If you don’t have the above-mentioned requirements then please do not proceed with the method.

Download Lineage OS 15.0(Android Oreo) on Redmi Note 4

• Download the Android Oreo ROM(Lineage OS 15.0) and place it on your memory card of Redmi Note 4.
• Also, download the G apps along with Android Oreo ROM.
• Take your phone into the TWRP recovery.
• Initially, you need to wipe the data and factory reset your Redmi Note 4.
• Select WIPE and swipe the blue button to factory reset the Redmi Note 4.
• Now, you need to select INSTALL, and then select the downloaded ROM and flash it.
• In the same manner, flash the Google Apps on Redmi Note 4.

• Once you have successfully installed the Android Oreo ROM along with G Apps on Redmi Note 4 then reboot your Phone.
• You will be greeted with the Lineage OS 15.0 Bootanimation.
• Go through the basic setup of Android Oreo 8.0 on Redmi Note 4.
• Go to Settings<System<About Phone and you will see Android 8.0 Oreo on Redmi Note 4.
• Congratulations for installing the Android O 8.0 Oreo based on Lineage OS on Redmi Note 4.
